2. It is not difficult to imagine that when Jesus spoke these words on the Mount of Olives just across the Kidron Valley from the Temple, that He was speaking of and looking at the Temple which was at the center of the Jewish religious system.

5. When Isaiah and the writer of Hebrews penned these words they were obviously speaking of the passing away of the Old Covenant and the coming in of the New Covenant.

8. Our own self-righteousness is of no importance insofar as our standing with God.

11. This righteousness is because Christ, who is our righteousness, indwells us. We therefore have His righteousness as a gift when we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
